27Aug | Depart Austin and drive to the Guadalupe Mountains in the NE region of Texas. It remains one of the most significant and extensive limestone fossil reefs in the world. It began forming some 250 million years ago. We camp for the night.(425 miles) |

into Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. In the afternoon we travel to Tuscon , Arizona

Depart Eureka at noon and drive towards Crescent City. It is 54 degrees outside and visibility is bad. Crossing into Oregan we travel East , forty miles later the temperature is forty degrees warmer. The Smith River weaves it's way through the mountains. Clean and beautiful. finally find a motel at nine that evening north of a small town called Lakeview.(360 miles). |
